Reflection on Mansoor’s presentation
Date: 20.05.2012
Time: 1100
Venue: W103A
Topic: car safety
Mansoor introduced the presentation by asking the audience what do they do when they get into their cars. He then talked about different types of safety; seat belt, tires check, system check, etc.
The role of tires and how important they should get checked every once in a while, as was the responsibility of the media as a cause of street racing which led into so many accidents.
Body language and eye contact were fine. Mansoor had one problem which was that sometimes he was blocking the slideshow; other than that it was good. The audience were interested with what Mansoor was presenting because all of them drive a car and they learned new things as well. He was able to answer all the questions that came from the audience and the instructor; the reason is because Mansoor chose a topic that he was interested in.
The slides were interesting and informative, with minimum amount of words.
What new did I learn?
1. I used to always get confused to figure out when I should replace my tires but Mansoor explained that for me by telling me a few steps, for example; check the tread on the tire, read the letters which have been typed on the tire, etc.
2. Mansoor is an idol to me when it comes to driving because he owns sport cars but when he wants to race he doesn’t do it on the streets he goes to Yas Marina circuit which is specially made for these reasons.
Overall, the presentation was educational and entertaining.
